Ashlie Cornelius
Ashlie is an Assistant Director of Marketing at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Some of her responsibilities include career fair management, branding the organization, creating advertisements, public relations, and managing social networking sites. Since joining OU, Ashlie has doubled employer attendance at several events, and has been featured as a guest blogger and also quoted on stories she has written on career advice. Ashlie earned a BA in Advertising from the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. Prior to joining OU, she worked in the oil industry as a marketing coordinator. She is a member of the Oklahoma City Chamber, PRSA, OU Campus Communicators, the OU Alumni Association, and works with a state agency to help children with developmental disabilities. Ashlie enjoys running, playing tennis, and painting in her free time.
Darian James
Darian James is the Chairman for the Alliance of Emerging Professionals who has developed a passion for what there is to do, taste, and see in Oklahoma City. Darian is the Sales and Catering Manager at the Colcord Hotel and 50th floor of the Devon Energy Center Tower in downtown Oklahoma City, where he is responsible for booking, executing, and directing events. Before joining Colcord Hotel, Darian was the Catering Sales Manager & Banquet Manager at The Sheraton Hotel for a total of 11 years, first in Tulsa and later in OKC. Recently, Darian received The Oklahoma Hospitality & Lodging Association Manager of the year award for Oklahoma for 2012. In his spare time he spends working on his LLC “Hideout Tropical” which he hopes to launch in the Summer of 2012. He is a two time Manager of the Year and Food and Beverage Employee of the Year. Darian graduated from Spartan College of Aeronautics in Tulsa where he resided for 5 years before moving to Oklahoma City. He is originally from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, but has lived in Oklahoma City for the past 12 years. Darian also organizes social events for different organizations in Oklahoma City. He enjoys volunteering for charitable organizations, running, travelling, rowing, dancing, and meeting new people.
Klint Neal
Klint works for the University of Oklahoma’s Department of Residence Life, a division of Student Affairs, as a Resident Adviser. In this role, he serves as an adviser to undergraduate students and advises the housing student government leadership team. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2010 with Bachelors in Public Affairs and Administration, and currently is working towards his graduate degree. During his undergraduate career, he was actively involved in the Student Alumni Association, Campus Activities Council, and the University of Oklahoma Student Association.
Chris Melick, PhD
Christopher J. Melick has been a Research Associate since 2009 for the Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies, located at the NOAA Storm Prediction Center in Norman. He obtained a B.S. and an M.S. in Atmospheric Science from Purdue and a PhD in Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His career interests lie mainly in research of severe storms and other high impact weather events as well as software development and application of meteorological techniques. Chris is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, National Weather Association, and American Meteorological Society.
